Job Description:


This position is a combination of a new business acquisition position to drive new/incremental revenue for INSP, and also one that services an existing list of mostly Direct Response clients. This position requires a specific focus on new business development and presentation skills to articulate the value of reaching the INSP audience to national advertisers and national advertising agencies. This position is responsible for General Market Advertising Sales business for INSP and Direct Response sales business. Strong account level relationships are a must and the ability to effectively price ad avails (based on industry standards) is equally as important. Budget goals are expected to be met and exceeded.


* Responsible for selling short form commercial inventory on INSP.
* Must meet and exceed set revenue budget.
* Develops and maintains relationships within national ad agencies.
* Develops customized proposals for media planners and buyers.
* Actively develops new business and is able to negotiate incremental share from existing clients.

Experience and Skills:



  • Bachelor of Science or related fields preferred


  • 3-5 years of Sales experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Relationships within the national media planning and buying departments at ad agencies in sales territory.
  • Cable Network Ad Sales experience is required.
  • Full and comprehensive knowledge of all media related qualitative and quantitative research.


  • Strong negotiating and relationship building skills
  • Ability to manage relationships with national ad agencies. Ability to manage/lead and interact effectively with Senior Management
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks at the same time
  • Strong presentations skills are paramount
  • Detail oriented, with the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

Strong knowledge of Nielsen NTI research is required

Working knowledge of media planning and media pricing is required

Vast competitive industry knowledge is required
