Job Description:

SUMMARY/POSITION OVERVIEW

 

Traffic Services is critical to the success of the company as it oversees revenue dollars by managing and scheduling of programming, commercial and promotional inventory for broadcast.

The ideal candidate will assist in the day-to-day operations of the department to ensure prompt and accurate execution of logs, sales orders and copy across all INSP, INI and external clients.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Commercial Copy:

  • Receive, review and implement all commercial instructions and revisions.
  • Enter all spots accurately into Broadway.
  • Create dub lists for Media Center.
  • Maintain copy books.
  • Proof daily copy schedules.
  • Review and research log and copy as requested by both Sales and Agency
  • Communicate with AE Sales/Agencies for missing any commercial copy and/or media
  • Knowledge of WideOrbit Traffic System or similar national network traffic system

 

Paid Programs:

  • Assign Paid Programming into Broadway.
  • Create paid program dub lists.
  • Review and research log and copy as requested by both Sales and Agency

 

Log Management:

  • Manually adjust commercial placement based on highest dollars and/or order type.
  • Review for advertiser and product separation.
  • Review log variance reports for accuracy.
  • Print log and deliver both hard copy and digital files to NOC.
  • Create dub lists for non-paid promos, ID’s, credits for Media Center.


Client Advocate:

  • Communicate with agencies regarding receipt of instructions and spots
  • Answer any additional agency questions
  • Communicate and work with other INSP departments (Programming, Promotions, Sales, NOC/Media Center)

Experience and Skills:

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum four years’ experience in traffic and/or sales work environment
  • Must have detail orientation, commitment to quality work product and well organized
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Self-starter who is reliable, professional and dependable
  • Independent worker with excellent ability to multi-task
