Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY/OVERVIEW

The Director, Financial Reporting and Systems provides INSP, LLC, its parent company, and all related entities support to ensure that internal and external financial statements are timely, accurate and in accordance with United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP).

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assisting and coordinating with the VP in the activities of employees in the Finance and Accounting department, ensuring that US GAAP is followed in keeping with the Company’s financial records.
  • Supports the management of multiple auditing engagements simultaneously for the United States financial statements, United Kingdom financial statements, and The Inspirational Network, Inc. 401(k) Benefit Plan.
  • Assisting with technical accounting research, monitoring and implementing changes to US GAAP by the release of Accounting Standard Updates issued by the FASB and the potential impact on the company and its financial reports.
  • Assist with establishing internal controls and audit procedures to ensure proper financial management.
  • Assist with preparing periodic internal and external reports on the companies’ individual and consolidated financial performance.
  • Supports and maintains financial objectives and policies established by the CFO to develop and carry out both short-term and long-term financial goals
  • Assist with managing the internal financial reporting system including the corporate consolidation financial process and intercompany process for all related entities, preparing timely consolidated financial statements and maintaining effective internal controls. Monitor financial records for transactions that eliminate in consolidation.
  • Maintains library of financial reports using Management Reporter. Creates ad hoc reports as requested.
  • Liaises with the external auditors from the US and UK to coordinate the audit process and ensure the timely completion of the audited financial statements for the US, UK and the 401(k) Benefit Plan.
  • Supports reporting for annual board package for The Inspirational Network, Inc. and subsidiaries for Board presentation and approval.
  • Assist with comparing performance with operating plans and standards.
  • Assist with providing reports and interpreting the results of operations to all levels of management; this includes the formulation of accounting policies, the interpretation of financial statements and operating data, the coordination of systems and procedures, and special reports as required.
  • Assist with preparing financial forecasts used to monitor future compliance with Debt Covenant filings.
  • Assisting with the maintenance of the Dynamics GP accounting and Management Reporter systems including general maintenance, report writing, and security.
  • Assist with System Administration of all financial software applications.
  • Works with department Vice Presidents to develop annual budgets and projections in conjunction with Vice President, Financial Reporting and Budgeting.
  • Understands and adheres to the organization’s mission, its values and compliance expectations as they relate to the area of financial reporting.

Experience and Skills:

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • CPA is required.
  • 8-10 years of experience
  • High level of technical knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Strong technical report writing and financial analysis skills for the reporting and presentation of financial information to executive management, the Board of Directors and other parties of interest on an ad hoc basis.
  • Knowledge of annual audit process and with the audit report and footnote disclosure preparations.
  • Proficiency in multi-entity organizational structures, consolidation accounting, and corporate service allocation concepts and processes.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and ability to develop/maintain clear and concise account reconciliations for material and complex transactions and events.
  • Ability to review various organizational legal documents and determine potential accounting implications.
  • Proficient with MS Office based applications, particularly Excel; VBA a plus.
