Job Description:

SUMMARY/POSITION OVERVIEW

The Coordinator, Distribution Marketing strategically plans and executes the daily activities as it pertains to assigned projects and campaigns. Supports the development of relationships and partnerships with clients and vendors. Provides reports and recaps on campaigns and projects. Works to complete projects on time and within budget constraints. This individual will be able to work fast, posess extreme attention to detail, and support colleagues across the entire Marketing/Sales departments as needed. They will be able to complete tasks and projects quickly and react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround. This role requires the ability to work successfully in a team environment and build effective working relationships inside and outside of the organization.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • The INSP Monthly Affiliate Promotion to secure network promotion
    • Sets the strategy
    • Working with Creative to develop all campaign materials and ensuring materials are uploaded in a timely manner
    • Communicating opportunities as it pertains to clients
      • Growing the program through the recruitment of new participants
  • Troubleshooting website errors/problems and coming up with creative solutions
  • Developing and implementing new and better additions and systems to the website and monthly promotion
  • Regular and on-going recap of promotion value
  • Creative ownership and development of affiliate materials, including, but not limited to:
    • Sales decks
    • One-sheets
    • Mailers
    • Premiums
    • Creation and development of client pitch decks
      • Brainstorm and research
      • Ensuring the deck is organized efficiently and effectively
      • Marketing ideas to support a launch
      • Working independently and strategically to develop creative deliverables for assigned projects and campaigns
      • Ensuring that all tactics are accurate and delivered on time
      • Attend meetings (internal/external) as needed and represent the interests of Distribution Marketing and Worldwide Distribution
      • Track and seek to understand the industry and emerging trends within the industry and the INSP audience
      • Regular and timely recaps on all projects
      • Creating process and workflow documents and look to enhance process and procedure
      • Develop, maintain and strengthen relationships with internal departments such as Production, Programming, Press, Ad Sales, Legal, Finance, etc.
      • Act as brand and company ambassador at all times

ASSISTING WITH:

  • The development and execution of trade show/client event strategy
    • Brainstorming ideas
    • Securing and evaluating bids with vendors and securing contracts as needed
    • Assisting onsite as needed
    • The project management of trade ads
    • Client communication and management
    • Training junior/new staff members

Experience and Skills:

JOB REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in this position candidate must possess integrity, character and ambition for success, holding themselves to extremely high standards. Candidate should also possess a solid knowledge of marketing strategies, concepts and practices. Additional required skills and experience include:

  • Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize work assignments, meet deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an eye for proofreading
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint or Canva
  • Needs to have a strategic mindset and resourceful nature with the ability to see beyond day to day tasks (e.g. creative, out-of-the-box thinker)
  • Ability to digest data and begin to craft a sales or ROI story
  • Detail oriented, analytical and very organized team player with the ability to manage up and manage expectations
  • Ability to troubleshoot and provide successful resolutions.
  • Strong desire to work for a media brand and help drive innovation within the company.

EDUCATION:

  • College graduate.
  • Preferred majors: marketing, communications, journalism or business administration

EXPERIENCE:

  • 2+ years of related experience

PREFERRED:

  • Working knowledge and a passion for the television/entertainment industry
  • Social media and technology savvy
  • Experience with Keynote, WordPress and Photoshop/Illustrator
  • Keen eye for design and copy
