Job Description:

SUMMARY/POSITION OVERVIEW

The Copywriter position will oversee and create all copy for Print and Web ads. They will support the On-Air Promotion team by creating original copy, helping to edit copy in existing spots and create and assemble script packets and taglines for the promotion of INSP series. This position will create a synergy and common theme for our Marketing Efforts by revising and proofing all written content that goes out to the public. The Copywriter will be working with internal departments to create the marketing briefs, documents and binders for INSP’s TV series and movies, insuring a consistent voice, message and tone across all platforms.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Work with the clients and designers to get the message across on ads.
* Proof all elements before publishing to Press or Web.
* Work with various teams on the EMC to focus messaging for Series, Movies and Blocks.
* Help organize and maintain copy packets for all INSP series and films
* Work with the various departments to create the binders for each Series or Movie.
* Process, Print, Update and Distribute binders to take the workload off the VP’s and create consistency.
* Ensure that all tag lines and descriptions are current and succinct for use by Creative Services and Promotion.
* Create packets of copy runs and taglines for every new INSP original series, INSP film and priority shows and blocks.
* Participate in department brainstorming sessions for copy runs and taglines
* Help punch up promo scripts on an as-needed basis

Experience and Skills:

JOB REQUIREMENTS

* Strong technical and artistic design abilities a must
* 4 year degree
* Ability to work independently and interact effectively with Marketing team
* Excellent interpersonal, organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks at the same time
* Detail oriented, with the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Minimum of 2-3 years of experience or education in a television related field.
